ANTIQUE FRENCH BISQUE SMILING POUPEE BY LEON CASIMIR BRU, ORIGINAL WOODEN ARTICULATED BODY

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, aquiline nose, closed mouth with slightly-upturned lip corners, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with ball-swivel waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.
Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: F.
French, Leon Casimir Bru, his original deposed facial model of 1872, deposed wooden body of 1867, deposed portrait smiling face said to be a portrait doll of Empress Eugenie.
Rare model with especial beautiful face, choicest bisque and painting, original rare body, included is early silk costume.
