Wonderful Antique Original Exemplary Net Lace & Soutache Shawl for Huret, Rohmer, Blampoix Enfantine Poupee fashion doll 17-18"
Very beautiful and rare fashion accessory for the Enfantine fashion doll, this wonderful tulle lace shawl is fresh and excellent condition. Each line of soutache was hand sewn onto the net lace base with painstaking accuracy, every curve and line produced with delicate needlework and precision. The cape closure at the front with pearl button, decorated with lace trim. The piece is from the later part of the Enfantine era, between 1860-70. A spectacular early shawl that could have been used as a collar on a dress or around the shoulders of a beloved doll. Measurements: 13" (3 cm) full length and 3 1/2" (9 cm) wide.
