Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead with black painted pate accented with tendrils of curls, small black glass eyes, painted delicate lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, original brunette human hair wig in elaborately braided coiffure, carton upper torso and kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1840, attributed to Andreas Voit. Value Points: the early poupee is presented in original wooden box along with an extensive trousseau comprising three elegant silk gowns, lovely summer gown, day and night shift, four bonnets, four pairs of footware including unusual knit slipper/shoes, undergarments, blouses, dickey, paisley shawl, and even a tiny wooden Grodnetal doll in antique costume.
