Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1870, the poupee has an original paper label on torso from "le plus grands" shop of dolls and toys in Paris "A la Galerie Vivienne, Remond, Paris..." French, circa 1870, the luxury shop of A La Galerie Vivienne was established by Pierre Guillard in 1830 as a corset shop until its acquisition by Remond in 1867 when dolls and toys became its theme. Judging by the luxury quality of this doll, and other dolls and toys with the Galerie Vivienne label which are shown in Theimer's The Encyclopedia of French Dolls, the shop presented only playthings of the most luxurious manner. Very beautiful doll with finest bisque and painting, original boutique label. ------------------------------------ I DO A LAYAWAY NO STATE SALES TAX!
