Very beautiful signed portrait in excellent condition. Measures 18 x 15 in (46 x 38 cm)/ No frame.

Victor Casimir Zier is a Polish portrait painter worked in France. He is born in Warsaw on September 26, 1822 and died in Paris on December 30, 1883.
He studied under Sebastian Norblin and Leon Cogniet. He exhibited at the salons from 1844 to 1851.
He is the father of the painter and illustrator Edouard Francois Zier.
