Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears, blonde mohair wig, kid-over wooden torso and legs with hinged upper legs, "baggy knees", metal upper arms with jointing at shoulders and elbows, bisque forearms with separately-sculpted fingers.

Condition: generally excellent.
Her bisque hands, head and shoulder plate free of hairline, restoration, any damages. The body in very good original condition.

Marks: J. Terrene, 9 Medailles aux Expositions 1867-68-72-73-74, 10 Rue du Marche St. Honore Paris (paper label on back torso).

French, circa 1872, the doll with distinct body was commissioned by the prestigious Parisian doll shop of Terrene. Outstanding beauty of doll with gorgeous bisque and painting, rare body with original label, and with a superb well-detailed of beads silk velvet gown, undergarments, matching hat, vintage leather shoes, original socks.
