Very beautiful and RARE Russian Antique Doll Shraer and Fingergut. Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes, painted lashes, feathered arched brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, original mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body.
He is marked # 448. According to the book "Doll Makers and Marks". this doll number 448 is listed as unidentified but, this is a Russian Doll by Shraer and Fingergut (Poland, which was part of Russia until 1918). C.1900. These dolls are extremely hard to find because of no markings or cyrillic marking. The doll have fully original costume, including sheepskin coat (right sleeve damaged)and hat. 13" (33cm) tall.
