Rare large Simon & Halbig 1498 bisque head german character boy with exemplary sculpting especially around the eyes,beautiful quality of bisque,sculpting and painting, the well moulded head with weighted blue glass sleep eyes, feather eyebrows, open/closed mouth and domed head with painted hair, on a fully jointed composition toddler body and wearing a blue and white sailor trouser suite and original underwear.

The bisque in excellent condition, original body finish. some wears because age.
The head incised 1498, 13, 24” (61cm) tall.
