German bisque musical clown doll with cymbals, original costume,12" (30 cm.)

Very nice musical doll has bisque head with blue glass eyes, painted features, open mouth, tiny porcelain teeth, brush-stroked brows, auburn mohair wig, wooden block torso enclosing musical box and bellows, paper mache hands and legs.

Wearing factory original clown costume and cap and holding cymbals. When torso squeezed music plays and he claps the cymbals.

Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1890.
