17" (43 cm) Rare Stunning French bebe Mascotte Doll

Wonderful French bisque bebe marker "M 6" for Mascotte, blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, beautifully painted complexion, blonde mohair wig, French composition fully-jointed body by Steiner (with flag), nicely costumed.
She is enchanting. The French dictionary writes that Mascotte boasted that this body could assume any position that can be taken by the human body, including kneeling.
Bisque excellent, body finish original. Circa 1890.
