French Mechanical Pull-Toy "The Polichinelle training cat"
Standing upon a wooden platform with spoked wheels is a bisque head doll with brown glass eyes, in classic silk costume of Polichinelle, with classic torso hump features. When pulled along, the doll turns his head from and alternately taps the training baton,and then extends the brass hoop; meanwhile the cat is turn round.
Well functioning, the silk costume a little worn because age.
15" (39 cm.) tall (including hat)

French, circa 1890.
