French Bisque Bebe Phonographe by Emile Jumeau

Bisque socket head,human hair mohair wig over cork pate.
French composition and wooden fully jointed body whose torso contains the cylinder phonograph system invented by Henri Lioret, tin door for covering of phonograph, keywind and lever at back torso.
Emile Jumeau, circa 1892, in collaboration with the phonograph inventor Henri Lioret. A rare model with early phonograph mechanism, antique shoes, and bonnet, new dress.

27" (68 cm) tall.

CONDITION: Generally excellent.
MARKS: R 11 R
Bebe Jumeau Phonographe SGDG HL Marque Depose (cylinder) 631 (stamp on mechanism). her song "Petet Papa" ("Small Father").
