Wonderfully preserved figure represents the traditionally popular theatrical character of Polichinelle. Paper mache head with exaggerated sculpted and artistic painted features of classic Polichinelle figure, painted brown eyes, long hook nose and jutting chin, closed mouth with devilish smile,row of painted teeth, front and back torso humps, rare bisque hands in excellent condition, straw-filled body enclosed by costume.
Wonderfully-preserved figure with original painted finish, his well-preserved original coral and blue silk costume over armature-straw body,trimmed with lace,metallic fringe,silver bells, gilt paper decoration, original stockings, hat, sewn-on silk slippers with upturned toes.

The doll has original Au Bon Marche Box and trade card with Girl and Polichinelle.

Good condition to age.
