Extremely rare French Fashion doll with kid over wood body, with rare marks JL
This is a very early and rare French Fashion Poupee doll has a kid-over wooden articulated body has extremely pale bisque with long narrow cobalt-colored glass eyes, finely-stroked narrow brows and neatly outlined lips, original pate, mohair wig.
Her early French kid-over wooden articulated body has bisque arms and bisque bare feet.
She is wearing a fantastic pique original dress. as a full set of unders, antique leather shoes, red new socks.

She is marked J.L. on the front shoulder plate. This very rare marking has not yet been identified (please look "The Encyclopedia of French dolls of Francois Theimer", part 1, page 299). In addition to her rare marking, she also has a wonderful kid-over wooden body with bisque hands and legs.
This doll was especially comissioned for Terrene Paris shop, but was not manufactured by TERRENE.

Her head and shoulderplate free of hairline,restoration, in very good condition!
Her bisque bare feet in excellent condition!
The thumb on the right bisque hand has been restored.

This desirable early lady will look stunning in your cabinet, she is very impressive on display.
