French Bebe GIGOTEUR Doll by Jules Nicolas Steiner 18" (46 cm.)
Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket, rounded facial shape, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, accented lips, two rows of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, carton torso containing clockwork mechanism, paper mache arms and legs. She is wearing antique white dress and bonnet. The bebe has original waist-length wig, earrings, and original store label AU NAIN BLEU. Very Good condition. Jules Steiner, his deposed "Bebe Gigoteur" circa 1880, when wound the bebe turns her head, waves her arms and legs and cries "Mama". ------------------------------------ I DO A LAYAWAY NO STATE SALES TAX!
