Bisque socket head with very full lower cheeks and chin, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted long curly lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume.
Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: J made in Germany 11 JDK 249 Germany (head).
Kestner, circa 1912.
Very rare model with very distinctive face and expression, fine quality of bisque and painting, original wig, body, and body finish.
