Antique Original Hoop Crinoline for French Fashion doll These amazing pieces of fashion history are rare to find today. This antique original french hoop underskirt with cotton tape and sprung steel hoops.
The waistband has cotton cording for the fitting. The largest hoop is 7" in diameter (18 cm), and the smallest is 3" (8 cm). The side tapes are 7 3/4" long (20 cm). It would fit a doll of about 11-13" tall (28-33 cm).
The biggest issue will be getting that smallest hoop over your doll's shoulders or hips. The hoop can be pinched a bit to gain a bit more room. It is composed of 6 wires and either cloth banded rings which are held together by cloth bands.
Such an amazing "beauty aid" to wear over an enchanting petticoat and create the absolutely perfect silhouette for your doll's ensemble! Some collectors covet these pieces so much, that they display the crinolines on their dolls and place the gown or dress on a mannequin!
