Posed upon a maple wood box with fruitwood inlay is a bisque-headed doll with blue glass eyes,painted lashes and brows,closed mouth, original blonde mohair wig, wooden torso, loosely jointed wooden legs,original costume.
The doll is posed upon a metal rod that attaches to the mechanical device within the box, and when wound, the doll bounces up and down, appearing to dance while music plays. Condition: generally excellent.
Very beautiful quality of music with charming mechanical action of doll.Music of F.Liszt - Waltz from opera "Faust" (the lable on the back VALTZ - FAUST".

The toy has an original cardboard box with label
"Marque de fabrique PARIS A.M." and "Au Louvre Paris label" (the second label is gamaged).
