Bisque socket head with plump round face, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, darker blue outer rims, and prominent black pupils, dark eyeliner,short dark painted lashes, wide feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, original human hair wig, Schmitt composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed body.
Condition: the head has professional restauration (please look the last photos under the light), the body with original finish. Marks: Bte SGDG 1. Schmitt et Fils,circa 1878. 15 1/2' (40 cm) tall. Very rare deposed model,beautiful antique red silk costume, undewrwear and bonnet, vintage leather shoes and socks. Some collectors cannot always afford to buy a perfect example of every fine bebe they might like. When we have the opportunity to purchase less than perfect bebes of merit, we keep those sympathetic collectors in mind. This sweet-faced Bebe Schmitt shown here has had good professional restoration to her bisque head.Ypou can see in only uner the ligth.
