Antique German Bisque Doll by William Goebel in Early Teddy Bear Suit What a cutie! This is an antique german bisque doll on original excelsior-filled mohair teddy body with jointed limbs,felt paws, ears.

Condition: generally excellent.
A bisque head with blue glass eyes, open mouth with teeth, and rosy cheeks. There is no damage or repair to the bisque head.From a smoke free environment.
With a wonderful loud voice!

She is 14 1/2" (37 cm) tall.

Short history note.
Franz D. Goebel and his son William Goebel founded their porcelain factory F & W Goebel in 1861, located in Oeslau, Thüringia, Germany to produce porcelain and earthenware objects. By 1893 the company was owned solely by William, who changed the name to William Goebel Porzellanfabrik.
About 1893 Goebel also began producing fine bisque dolls of all kinds. Early Goebel objects were marked with a triangle and half moon symbol, after 1900 they began using a crown above the WG initials, as shown below.
