Wonderful Antique French Mechanical Pull Toy Rare German made Bisque Character head.
Standing upon a wooden hand painted platform with metal spoked wheels, hidden bellows squeaker is a bisque-headed clown with highly characterized sculpting, blue glass eyes, painted facial decorations in white and red, block torso and lower limbs. He is holding the drum and cymbal. When pulled along, he clangs the drum with the stick and cymbal that he holds, turns his head from side to side, and beellows squeaker is working.

Very good original condition! His bisque head is in great shape, no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs.

The doll mark at the back 908 6/0 (the head of Simon&Halbig for french market).

18 1/2" (47 cm.) height (without hat). 13 1/2" (34.5cm) l.

Absolutely delightful pull toy with several interlinking amusing actions, rare character painted face, original costume, clown hat, well-functioning motions.
