The double-sided doll, posed demurely with hands folded in front of body and head turned to the side, owns 12 double-sided (front and back) gowns designed to slip over her head. Also included are 9 additional bonnets and coiffures, including original wooden base for the doll. The paper doll is labeled "Psyche, Journal de Modes", and is presented in an early box with image of a beautiful ladies and child on the cover. Very good/excellent condition.
French, circa 1860.
Good condition to age. One dress has a several small defects, the head of the doll has been reglued.
