6" (15 cm) KESTNER Antique Doll ALL BISQUE c1880 WRESTLER Two-Strap Bootines & Ball-Head
So charming, chubby & sweet, this 6” Kestner All-Bisque girl is circa 1880 – a “WRESTLER” as so-called by early doll collectors – with perfect bisque in head-to-toes single piece, and jointed shoulders with left elbow bent & right elbow slightly bent; two artist’s check-marks on top of ball-head. Her solemn little face has painted blue eyes with black & red lid-lines, dark-brown brows, round rosy cheeks, almost-pursed lips, and a soft & curly mohair wig tops her head; feet are molded and glazed as black two-strap bootines with shirred socks and cobalt-blue garters. A darling dress of antique, she has a small crocheted hat and bag. Good condition to age, only one small chip on her right little finger. Please email me if you have any questions.
