Wonderful pretty shy-faced bebe with lovely expression and bisque. Pressed bisque socket head, full cheek, deep brown glass paperweight inset eyes in smaller eye sockets, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, mauve blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, separately modeled pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists.
She is wearing antique original traditional costume. original underwear, socks, heeled white leather shoes.

Condition: generally excellent. Her bisque free of hairline, restoration, any damages, original body and body finish.

Marks: Depose Jumeau 9 (incised mark, and artist checkmarks, on head). Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body).
French, Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, the premiere bebe of Jumeau which bore his name on head, made for one or two years only. Rare model with distinctive modeling such as smaller eye cuts, has exemplary bisque, complexion, artistically-painted features.
