Very unusual and beautiful early queen doll!
Paper mache shoulder head doll a with aristocratic and proud postures of a queen, Milliner's Model Adelaida, 1828, Turingia. She has formed bosom, the whole breast plate is surrounded with broad, red, toothed, paper ribbon, as ornament (untouched and original). She has elaborately sculpted hair having voluptuous arranged curls at each side of face centering an extended crown of extremely high hair, stacked up, 1 small crown as tiara, long neck, heart-shaped face with elongated strong throat, defined eye sockets, thin eyeliner encircling painted large blue eyes, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, slender kid leather body with very slim waist, arms and legs made of conifer wood, painted red shoes. She is wearing very nice, hand sewed original clothes of a queen (queen Adelaida, wife of the English king Wilhelm IV, 1830-1837). Superb coiffure is enhanced by original tulle and ribboned ornamentation on the large so-called "milliner's model". Condition: very good. Germany, 1828. 16" (40 cm.) tall I DO A LAYAWAY!
