18" (46 cm.) ANTIQUE FRENCH BISQUE POUPEE BY GAULTIER WITH WOODEN ARTICULATED BODY WITH DELUXE JOINTING

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, grey enamel inset eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, original mohair wig over cork pate, French wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and having swivel articulation at the waist and upper legs.
Fine luxury model of the wooden-bodied poupee with articulations on the beautifully shaped wooden body with original finish.Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875.
