18" (45 cm) Very Rare Lavalle-Peronne - Mademoiselle LILY French Fashion Doll with wooden body.

Bisque doll promoted by the magazine LA POUPEE MODELE from December 1863. Mademoiselle Lily was size 4, 45 cm tall.
This beautiful doll was sold exclusive by Mme Peronne from her shop "A La Poupee de Nuremberg" at 21, rue de Choiseul.
This doll has complete paper label on torso of this shop.Her shoulder plate marked DEPOSE with other letters or numbers difficult to read.

Very beautiful Empress Eugenie-type portrait face with lovely pale bisque and upturned lips. She has a bisque socket swivel head, long feathered eyebrows, blue glass enameled eyes, painted upper and lower eyelashes, closed mouth with lip shading strokes, chin dimple, pierced ears (tiny cheek rub).
Original cork pate, lovely original reddish brown human hair wig matches her eyebrows. Beautiful jointed wood body (some paint scuffs) with individually carved fingers and Lavallte-Peronne label.

This doll wearing wonderful antique silk original 2-piece fashion gown of tan checked color with red silk trim. The dress has some very small holes because age, original cotton underwear, no shoes.
Very lovely, very rare and desirable doll.
