17" (42 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass eyes,painted lower lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,open mouth,four teeth,auburn mohair wig,French composition and wooden body.
The doll wearing very beautiful Costume of Tarentaise of the french Savoie (Savoy) region including wonderful the "Frontiere" coiffe. This has was influenced by the Medici's of nearby Italy.
She has underwear, leather shoes and original gold croix.
Very interesting doll in original costume!

UNIS is an acronom for the Union National Inter Syndicate. These initials in oval and accompanied by numbers. The number to the left of the UNIS mark represents the syndicale number (71 was the number assigned to Chambre Syndicale). The number to the right of the UNIS mark represents the manufacturer (149 was the number assigned to SFBJ). The number beneath the UNIS mark represents the mold number (301).
