14" Early German bisque child doll with closed mouth, mold 639 with kid body, by Alt, Beck and Gottschalk with fine antique dress, underwear and leather shoes. Circa 1890.

We are pleased to offer this exceptionally beautiful 14" (36 cm) Alt, Beck and Gottschalk (ABG) antique German doll for your consideration.

Turned solid domed bisque Belton-type shoulder head, blue glass eyes, painted features, closed mouth, blonde human wig.
She has red eye corner accents and nostril accents, and the lips are wonderful peaked and have shiny glaze on the darker separating line. Her head is turned to her right and is tilted slightly down, giving her a gentle.
Her kid gusset-jointed body is in excellent condition and original to the doll. It is very clean and supple. Her lower arms are bisque and in perfect condition.
She is wearing original cutwork white dress with tucks and embroidery, matching petticoat and pantalets, leather shoes, straw bonnet.

Marks: 639 #6. Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1890. Excellent condition, body especially firm.
