Rare and exceptional Antique French fashion bisque doll by Rose Poncet, c.1860.
Bisque shoulderhead with delicate pale complexion, rounded face, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pale outlined lips, unpierced ears, blonde original wig over cork pate, very firmly-stuffed kid poupee body with shapely waist and legs, bisque arms to above the elbows, bisque hands.
Very beautiful complexion and eyes, rare and near mint body with bisque arms, lovely antique original woolen checkered costume with mathng bonnet, beautiful trousseau with extr two dresses, underwear, bonnet, batiste chemise, small all original baby doll, trade card, etc. The set in antique green fabric covered box with enfantine picture.

Marks: Mme PONCET Brevete Invention SGDG rue des Petit-Champs (green stamp in oval frame on torso).
VERY RARE! Ms. Poncet's business started in 1860 and ended in 1865.

Condition: generally excellent. Her bisque shoulderhead free of hairlines, restoration, any damages. Her leather body in excellent condition. Beautiful bisque hands, one finger on the left head may be has been restored.
