A rare mold with extreme character modeling, this is a fabulous cabinet-sized outstanding example of the most endearing child, characterized by a perfect bisque socket head, heart-shaped face, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined full generous lips and wistful expression, impressed chin dimple, beautifully-shaped upturned nose, shaped chin.
She has an original composition and wooden ball-jointed body, body finish, original mohair wig, wearing wonderful antique cotton stripped dress with batiste apron, antique undergarments, in original box. Details include the sewing box with accessories and fabric the same of her dress, origonal book about doll clothes and 8 patterns and color pictures of the dresses for this doll.

Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2033 BSW (in heart).
11 1/2" (29 cm.) tall.

Bahr and Proschild for Bruno Schmidt,circa 1912, the model is known by collectors as "Wendy".
