13"(32 cm) Beautiful French Bisque Bebe Teteur Doll by Leon Casimir Bru

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, very full cheeks, bright blue paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, parted lips with "O" shaped opening for bottle, outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate.

French Bru body with bisque lower arms with separately sculpted fingers, Chevrot body, wooden lower legs with jointed knees.

Marks: Bru Jne 4 T (head and shoulders), original Bru label on body.

CONDITION
The head has not any hairlines, restoration, crack or other problem.
Bad condition of leather on the upper of the arms (because rust) and small chip at the little finger of the left hand.

Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1885, the deposed Bebe Teteur or Nursing Bru has original mechanism in head to use with baby bottle including original rubber ball and back of head turning screw, allowing the baby to "suck" bottle.
Early model of the deposed bebe has beautiful expression and clarity of eyes, lovely bisque, intact mechanism.
