19" (48 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, pale blue glass enamel inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, wire armature body with padded stockinette cover and elaborate articulation, bisque hands, bisque lower legs with sculpted bare feet.

Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head and shoulderplate).

Gaultier, circa 1875,with original body by Gesland based on the body patent of Pannier.

Very choice lustrous patina of complexion, rare body style with perfect and artistically sculpted bisque hands and feet, antique costume and undergarments.
