23" (57 cm) magnificent French Bisque Portrait Jumeau Poupee by Pierre-Francois Jumeau.This exquisite lady is a dream come true...

Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, narrow blue glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, widely arched feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, separately applied pierced ears, original mohair wig, french kid lady body with shaped torso, gusset-jointing at elbow, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers.

Stunningly beautiful model with superb detail of sculpting, painting, and presence, especially strudy original body, very lovely antique cottin costume, original underwear and shoes.

The head is free of cracks, chips or hairlines. Generally excellent condition.

Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1875, his premier portrait poupee doll whose face evolved into the first portrait bebe from his son, Emile Jumeau.
