A very pale and beautiful early antique French most charming petite fashion doll by BARROIS with superb enfantine costume!
Pale bisque shoulderhead with rounded facial modeling,almond-shaped cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,delicately painted lashes and arched brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,kid poupee body with shapely torso, stitched and separated fingers.
Most appealing facial model with very lovely antique original blue silk enfantine dress, undergarments, stockings, blue leather shoes (one sole replaces), hat.

P.S. the small dog not for sale!

Condition: generally excellent. Her bisque free of hairline or restoration, the body especially clean and firm.
The costume a little worn because age.

Marks: E. 0 Depose B.
Eugene Constant Barrois,circa 1865,the model was commissioned especially for that firm as evidenced by his signature on the doll.
