The lady doll has bisque head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, large blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with richly accented lips, and pierced ears, original mohair wig.
Her body is kid fashion with shapely torso and separated fingers. The doll wears a superb original and authentic nun's habit, comprising multiple layers of gown, undergarments, cape, hood, and coiffe; the undergarments include linen petticoat, chemise . The doll has cross and a beads. An extraordinary well detailed and preserved presentation. Circa 1870, France, Francois Gaultier. 14" (35 cm) tall. I DO A LAYAWAY.
